The Devil’s Contract, a phrase used to talk about getting into a deal with someone you don’t want to be involved with. In this case, however, this is the name of a powerful law firm, which works for the rich, the powerful, and the prestigious men of society. However, they will take cases from men who have been wronged and are not their usual clientele. In fact, the one common trait of all their clients, besides them being men, is that they all seem to be innocent or wronged. The company is run quite efficiently in a modern world where all types of what you would typically call fantasy races are standard fare. Magic, demons, angels, dragons, all exist right beside modern technology. With this in mind, most of the staff of this firm is non-human, and for good reason: Their unique traits and skills suit their individual jobs.

Succuboss
Not much is known about this beauty, even by her own employees at the high end law firm. While known to be a very skillful lawyer herself, she prefers to never step inside a courtroom, just negotiating with the richest and most powerful of businesses. She has built up millions of dollars for her company, and uses it to acquire the best and the most efficient lawyers, detailed investigators and skilled negotiators, working for only the most innocent male clients. To her employees, they only call her boss, and even clients just refer to her as Miss CEO. She has helped broker deals which made her clients billions, keep gold digging ex wives from getting a cent, and done more for men in general than most.
However, this woman is obviously a demon of the succubus variety. When in public, her demonic heritage can be completely hidden, except from reflections. She uses her charms to get those she wishes to manipulate to agree to almost anything, and will even have sex with people to further her goals. Besides being a skilled negotiator and lawyer, she is also quite the dominatrix, preferring to be on top in all situations. She has no preference in lovers, as like a true succubus, the act of sex doesn’t sustain her as much as the desire of those that see her. While she will sleep with people when necessary to further her goals, she prefers to have them lust after her to such a degree that they will do what she asks of them anyways. |

Megan Callahan
A fae from the realm of the fae folk who decided to walk amongst the mortals, Megan found that she didn’t want to leave after enough time. She is the spokesmodel for Ambient Dimension the website, and also a skilled bookkeeper. Preferring to just be an employee, despite her natural skill at leadership, she just rolls with things as they come along, keeping a smile on her face and trying to make every moment in life fun. She likes to make everyone around her feel at ease and is considered the unofficial morale officer of the law firm where she works.
No one knows, however, which side of the fae courts she falls on, and she will elude the question if asked. Most believe she is on the light side, but her skill at illusionary and distracting magic is just a little too good for some people to believe that. Many mistake her passionate and outgoing personality for hedonistic tendencies, forgetting that all fae are like that. In truth, she does not wish to join either side, which is why she left the immortal fae realm in the first place. She enjoys the company of anyone, male, female, even other species, and will be passionate with any of them. Like most fae, however, she is flighty and will not form long term relationships beyond friendships. However, she is more than happy to give those friends all sorts of interesting benefits. |

Danae Galavir
Danae was always a playful and friendly elf, someone who enjoys being out there with people, and is a bit of a geek. Besides being a very skilled network technician, hacker, and all around lover of nerd culture, she is also a novice mage. Recently she got a job with a prestigious law firm, keeping their network up and running, as well as keeping it safe from hackers. She also loves going to conventions and cosplays a lot when she does, and a long time tabletop and computer gamer.
Being an avid geek, she tends to spend a lot of time on her own, despite being slightly extroverted as she is. She tries to get out and involved with as many geek activities as she can. At her work, she tends to hang out with the guys, telling dirty jokes, quoting movies, and generally being kind of goofy, always being a bit of the class clown in most things she does. No one knows her preference of sexuality, as she seems quite comfortable with both men and women, and is slightly flirty with both. She never really speaks about her relationship life at work, as she keeps it separate from her daily life. |

Tallrene Freth
A drow who always had a feisty streak, she was trained by the finest combat teachers that money could buy. Her parents, both well placed lawyers, got her a job at another firm as a security officer, and soon she rose the ranks to become the chief of security. Known mostly for her skill with both guns and swords, she prefers to drive around on her motorcycle than take any kind of secure car. She has never been in an accident, although she has caused a few when people tried to cut her off or cause her harm. More than once have police found a sliced up tire left in her wake, or a punctured fuel tank.
She is usually the one who protects Miss CEO when she makes public appearances, wanting to keep personal eyes on her, in order to keep it well known that the boss is off limits to anyone trying to hurt her. More than one person who attempted to hurt her has found themselves in the emergency ward. No one really knows what kind of person she likes, as she is business all the time, and she never socializes outside of work. There are rumours that her and the boss are actually secret lovers, but no one dares speak this in the presence of either of them. |

Kaytlin O’Shae
An elf from Ireland, born and raised, she fully embraces her heritage and her fae bloodline. She even has a tendency to play it up, using her thick Irish accent and making leprechaun jokes. She even likes to wear gold colors and make suggestive comments with double entendres to tease people. Despite all her joking, she is fiercely protective of her home, and insulting it will bring her full ire. She is the fitness advisor at The Devil’s Contract and always makes sure that all employees are in good shape, even interrupting them on the phone to steal their chairs to force them to stand up. She doesn’t just do underhanded things like this, and will also motivate them in any way she can. She also is known as quite a snacker, always munching on something. Her high metabolism makes this a must.
Always moving around the office, she also tries to recruit people for morning calisthenics or after work sporting events. She will accept if someone gives a good reason for not joining, but if she feels she is just being casually dismissed, will continue to push at a later time until she gets them involved or gets a good reason. She also heads the social committee, and will always be the first person to lend moral support to those who need it. She isn’t above using her body to get people to be motivated and exercise more. The rumour around the company is that she will sleep with anyone who expresses an interest in it for a good workout, but no one seems to mind as she is probably the most respected and liked employee there. |

Tsarra Ellaren
Raised by her father and grandfather, she knew only a male influence in her life. Her dad’s job as a custodian kept him very busy with long hours to ensure that his little girl had the best education she could have. Her grandfather taught her his trade, decorative glassmaking, which she used to help supplement the family income, and save up for her education. Very early on, she saved her dad’s life from a fire, and became quite well known for it. She was noticed because of this by Succuboss, who did what she could to help the young lady and her family to ensure that they were taken care of. She decided to go to law school to thank her patron, and earned a job at her firm.
She is known for being the office gossip, listening in to whatever she can, and spreading as much of the dirt as she can. Despite this, she does not spread anything that would harm anyone, mostly using it to celebrate people’s successes and to ensure that those who need help get it from as many people as possible. She also is known for how much she likes to grasp people’s hands when she talks to them. She also is quite happy to help anyone she can, even though she realizes that sometimes it feels a little hopeless. She doesn’t seem to have much interest beyond men, but she has whispered that she finds some of the ladies around the office interesting enough to possibly share a man with them. She is quite open about her advances and is open in her flirting with men. |

Shetae Zesack
The daughter of a dragon and an elf, she has an identical twin sister who has a similar attitude and traits of her sister. Her elven father was left the pair of them when her mother abandoned them with him. As a technician, he was always busy at work, and came home tired most of the time, but always made time for his daughters. To try and impress her father, the two of them learned to play instruments, Shetae picking up guitar, and her sister the drums. He called them his little rocker girls, and encouraged them to do whatever they wanted. The two of them both went to college, and they both fell in with the feminist crowd, taking gender studies and going to a feminist rally. There, Shetae saw a man being killed by the mob and realized her mistake in following this line of thinking. Her sister, however, never saw the death, and still believes that she is doing the right thing. This caused the sisters to have a rift, and they haven’t spoken to each other since.
Despite the sadness she feels for the loss of the relationship with her sister, she still keeps herself upbeat. The dragon heritage, however, shows, as she isn’t exactly the most motivated and giving person, having a bit of a hoarding and lazy attitude. This has caused her to pretty much only be able to work as a receptionist, even though she has a good amount of education and skill. She also is known for her video gaming prowess, chatting with Danae about this a lot when she heads by the front desk. Being the tallest lady of the office, coming in at almost seven feet from her dragon heritage, she also acts as a deterrent for unwanted visitors. She is also known to be very flirty and sexual with pretty much anyone she finds attractive, which seems to be almost everyone. There has been more than once that the gum that she was chewing ends up in someone else’s mouth by the end of the day. |

Malolin Baenafin
The youngest child of a family which was involved in crime, her uncle, who wasn’t actually part of the family business, set up a trust fund for her, to ensure that she could get out the problems her parents were causing. She was left alone most of her youth, and picked up a strange habit of asking for different wools, soon learning to use it to pick up knitting at a very early age to keep herself occupied while her parents were involved in their activities. They were soon arrested and she was emancipated, and decided to take up her uncle’s money and learn to be a medical doctor. While studying she met the Succuboss who offered her a job if she would go back and get a PhD in psychiatry as well. Quickly taking her up on the offer, she went back to school and got the second degree, having a double doctorate.
Quite the friendly and caring woman, she is always looking to help people feel better, both physically and emotionally. She always wants to listen and be sure that she understands people and as such has a tendency of repeating what people say, to be sure she gets things right. Always looking into new techniques of help and health, she is very concerned about how men’s mental health has been declining over the years, and will take time volunteering at the local suicide prevention line to help those truly desperate men. Known for being quite the sexual lady, she is very open about talking about sex, and how it can help your emotional health as well as physical healthy. Along with Kaytlin, they have helped pretty much anyone who needs it, in any way they can.

Born in the dark fae realm with her twin sister, her mother was well known for having several spurned lovers. Despite knowing that his wife was well known for her dalliances, he was always cheerful and happy. But when a dark fae elder died right after the birth, and their mother accused her husband of the murder, he took his two girls and ran to the mortal realm. He made sure his daughters had everything they ever wanted, and were well cared for and loved, working long hours and providing the best life he could for them. She vowed from an early age to help out other men like her father, and so she became a family lawyer.
She has a great rapport with children, and loves to get them talking about her dog and their pets to help them with tough times. She also does whatever she can to help any man going through a rough time, and makes sure that the police in the area know that if any man calls in for being abused, to call her as well. She takes many of those cases for free and will find them a place to stay, even putting them up in a hotel herself to ensure they are safe, and helping them get their kids out safely too. While she doesn’t sleep with any of her clients when she is representing them or while they are married, word is she has slept with a couple after their divorces were finalized, helping them to recover emotionally as well as financially. |

Growing up with just her older brother being the head of the household after her mother died in childbirth, her father was convicted of the murder of her mother, despite all evidence showing that it was malpractice by the female doctor who let her mother die. She was always treated well by everyone who met her, for some reason always finding that people preferred to deal with her than her brother. After a few years, her brother got enough money to move them both to their father’s home, North America. Still quite proud of her Japanese heritage, she continued to display her Japanese lineage. Soon after moving, she came upon a feminist rally, and saw a man being murdered by the mob. This event caused her to want to go to law school to try and help bring about more order to stop this kind of violence.
She is always willing to believe the best of people, and try and help those who want to become better. She is a huge fan of everything cats, and will gladly watch any cute cat video she finds, as well as having quite a few lolcat posters on her wall in her office. She also enjoys any martial art movie, and picked up a strange habit of flipping an old Japanese coin she found in an antique shop, even learning to juggle it on her fingers. She has even used it to distract people when working with others to negotiate a contract. Not very open about her tastes, she doesn’t show any obvious preference to partners, being quite modest about it. She is also known for leaving her flirtations in her gifts of origami figures. |

Ilyruna Nullahen
This beauty didn’t seem to exist in the system, as her mother had her at a rock concert, and just abandoned her, not registering her birth at all. She grew up on the street and was soon taken in my a spiteful feminist woman who taught her fight, instilling her the belief that men were all to blame for her problems. She was forced to get a job at a young age, and ended up being a barista at a local coffee shop. Getting into the feminist crowd, she attended a demonstration by her group which ended up with one man being murdered by the mob of women. At that point, she backed out of her feminist groups, even becoming terrified to be in any large group of people. Shortly after that, she lost her job when the manager of the shop had to close up after a false allegation of sexual misconduct against another employee. At that time, she met the Succuboss, who helped her get a better education.
She wants to believe that things can change, and does whatever she can to help, constantly researching new ways to help those who have been hurt by those she used to call her friends. You will usually find her with something silver on her or around her. She will usually paint her nails as silver and even found silver lipstick which she likes to wear, embracing her nickname as the silver elf. She also likes to read the horoscopes and is quite amused by different types of fortune telling. She is a little bit of a geek herself, enjoying playing tabletop games and can be often found chatting about this kind of thing with Danae. She has a tendency to be very blunt when she is attracted to someone, letting them know directly how she feels. She hasn’t really shown herself to have any preference to her partners, and doesn’t get into much of this kind of thing in the workplace environment. |

Aleesia Orina
Born on the streets, she was raised by her father and uncle. Her father used to be a rich doctor before his wife, who didn’t even do anything, took him for everything he had, and left him destitute, and so she finds that kind of gold digging attitude. She was forced to defend her family on the street, so quickly learned to shoot a gun to try and keep safe. She had many run ins with the law, and once she met a certain succubus on another case, and she worked with the police to ensure that she was given a chance with a good education and eventually joined the police force and became a detective. When she saw the standards for police officers being lowered just for women, she left the force in disgust and went to work as a private investigator at the Devil’s Contract.
Having to fend for herself most of her life taught her to be very self reliant and she likes to save money by going out and hunting from time to time. This is contrasted by her love of doing embroidery, a habit she picked up from the wife of her former police partner. She is as quick with a gun as she is with a camera, and has a good eye to catch even the most minute detail that most would miss. She also has a habit of trying to get pictures of celebrities, but hasn’t gotten all the ones she wants to yet. She seems open to making lewd comments to both men and women, but people have noticed that she does focus on women, and seems to favour specific ones, and is quite loyal to her flirting. She sticks with one person till they either rebuke her, or they give in. |
