I didn’t start out creating stories, I started out consuming them. From a young age, I was drawn to books, movies, and games that opened doors to other worlds. It wasn’t until around sixth grade that something shifted. Instead of just enjoying stories, I began crafting my own. It all started with a collaborative book we made called Stories from Around the Classroom, where everyone wrote a story for the book, which was printed as a hardcover I still have on my shelf.

That creative spark led me to tabletop role-playing games, where storytelling became something collaborative and alive. I wasn’t just writing characters; I was breathing life into them, building histories, shaping cultures, and defining the rules of entire worlds. Over time, that storytelling instinct grew from campaign notes and one-shots into a fully realized setting of my own.

Back in 2012, while working on my 3D art, I came up with the idea for a render where there was a succubus in a business suit, but her horns, wings and tail only were visible in a mirror, a test of reflection renders. This grew into the entire lore behind the Daeva and Celestial species, and that original character is the basis for the name of the world I created over the next decade.

Now, that world is the foundation for my upcoming novel, a modern fantasy told through a noir lens. The stories I write are grounded in mystery, magic, and moral complexity, influenced by the sweeping epics of David Eddings, the rich worlds of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, and the strange, unsettling visions of Clive Barker and H.P. Lovecraft.

Writing is how I explore what lies beneath the surface; of cities, of people, of power. Through layered characters and shadowy plots, I aim to create worlds that feel lived-in, where the fantastical brushes up against the mundane in unexpected ways. The novel is just the beginning, this world has more stories to tell. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do creating them.
